Do You?
Do you think of me before you sleep?
When sleepiness is making you weak
Do you say a prayer
Telling god to keep me safe ?
Or does it fall at the bottom of your list
Of things you must do
Do you ever think about our talks?
When I was young and sat on your lap
Do you have any pictures of me?
That are not at least a decade old
I’ve changed a lot
But I’m sure you would recognize my smile
My laugh my limp
Do you remember listening to me sing
When I visited?
every time I hear an Elvis song I think of you
I have the handmade Indian doll
Who I have yet to name
And she reminds me of you
Do you remember me crying
The last time I saw you?
I cried cause I missed you
Not because I was mad
So the questions I really am trying to ask are
do you miss me?
am I ever in your thoughts?
Cause are most certainly in mine
