What is this world coming to?
Does anyone in here have a clue?
Im on a quest to find out...Ive been on me p's & q's
And its hard to figure out, but wihout a doubt this challenge requires much more than the average eyes, ears, and mouth.

The lack of loyalty, the deceit, the mistreat, but it is said what you sow you will reap?
Wake up people! If we dont stand together tall...divided we shall surely fall.

You got babies having babies, the guys mistreating ladies! Dont get me wrong "accidents" do happen, but inspect although you may protect. And as for disrepect thats one thing we should neglect.
The uneccessary hate, the unfair fate, the sadness in the media in which we can relate

People will see and hear this and say im pretty angry. Correction, im far from rage, im just a girl living in a world where changes need to be made.

My people, have we come this far to murder one another?...
wait...i thought he was your "homie", your "brother"?
Has it ever occured to you that the crime you intend to commit will leave a distraught mother?
You could careless so i get not
Now you might be the man in your "hood", but not in your cell block.

Now i know im gettin' to you
Is this a piece to real for you?
Its just my point of view
Now a days we'd rather run from the fearfull obvious, listen to a tune...as opposed to watching the news and acknowledge the truth.
Oh i almost forgot something so important i Could not...
Girls...have you all gotten the principles of friendship misunderstood?
How dare you allow some boy to ease between you and your friend...
and the result in the end...
equals he's not whipped and a broken friendship thats impossible to mend.

For those who judge what or whom they have yet to know...and those who feel like their on "broadway" and have to put on a constant show.
Well thats the only way they're gonna get to glow.
But why cant you just be you?
The answer to that question, you, yourself probably dont acquire the accurate clues...
yeah i got that "WE NEED A REVOLUTION" blues.
now you see what i mean?
What is this world coming to?

What inspired me to write the piece is very simple...my environment. What goes on in my community, what i face and see in my everyday life.

A really good poet write so that the reader can walk in their shoes just for that one minute. Victoria Jones

wow that had everything to say, it was insightful and open our eyes to what we already know is happening but we neglect. You're right that will make a very good speech.
