The Girl I was

A young girl
Looking for a friend
On my first day of school I’m invisible
To comfort me I cry on my own shoulder, my heart will mend
An innocent child
I finds myself scared
An innocent heart
Will I forget his hatred towards me?
I go to God for he’s always there
And meet a boy who loves me for me
I learn about acceptance, love and truth
Now comes the time that I finally see the proof.
The proof that I am loved and that I am me.
As you all will soon see.
