When I run around the track,
Before I hit my top speed,
Before I run the straight,
Before I reach the finish line,
I jog at a constant pace.
After I finish my lap,
While I’m drinking my protein shake,
Before I began to stretch,
Before I leave the track,
I think about tomorrow’s track meet.
