Friendship
We used to be like sisters
Hanging out every day.
Until just one month ago
We went our separate ways.
We still look at each other as friends,
But I feel we’re far apart.
Though were in every class
I have a broken heart.
I have made some new friends
And she has made some, too.
We’re hardly talking anymore
And inside I’m feeling blue.
Every day I pray
That she will come to see
How much our friendship really meant,
And how much she means to me.

Hi Delaney,
You don't know me but I know most of the Tepel Clan through your Aunt Jeanne. Anyway, I'm really impressed with your poem. The subject is one we can relate to as we've all experienced the loss of friendship during the course of our lives. Good luck with the contest.
