Burning Out
Like a light burning out, it flickers.
I hear them scream and shout, they bicker.
I saw the bruises on her arm, the bruises on her face.
Its an alarm.
I need out of this place.
Last night I was woken,
They were fighting again.
Now the table I eat at is broken.
He lost his temper again.
Why don't they love each other?
Did I never apologize?
Was it about my brother?
Why wont they compromise?
Will she ever forgive him?
I have a lot of doubt.
Their love is dim,
Like a light burning out.
