No man has a good enough memory to be a successful liar. ~ Abe Lincoln

Dear you,
Foolish you.
Time comes when one must realize
Promises are made to be broken.
Decisions change.
Opinions change.
My view of you lies in nothing but a memory.
And that is where it’ll stay.
You may think your judgment,
The better one,
Can state when I’ve been in the wrong.
You know who I was,
But the unfortunate truth lies in the fact that,
The fact that you don’t know
The man I’ve become.
Your verdict is unbecoming
The way this will end,
An apology won’t be said.

This is a poem I wrote from one of my old friend's points of view towards me and my thoughts of our friendship. I missed it but he didn't.

Thanks SO much! BTW, I posted another poem, but it's the letter I would have sent to my friend that inspired this work, and this is the response to the new poem!
