Favorite Quote:
I dream of a world where chickens are free to cross the rode without their motives being questioned. (A friend)

I stare at you and am mystified
Your hair gelled obscurely into a messy yet neat “fohawk”
Your dark brown eyes reflect the glaring light around you
You stand easily behind the microphone placed imprecisely before you
Your broad hands grip the familiar bass strapped graciously across your chest
I watch you prepare to strum the first chord
Your muscles flex and your hand grazes smoothly across the strings
The sound reverberates in my ears above the other instruments
Your perfect lips spread
You have my full undying attention
As your lips part I listen closely to the soft music flowing naturally from your mouth
I listen as you add your rifts to the lyrics
I am lost in the music
The words don’t mean anything now
Even though I know you are singing they don’t come together as words
They come together as their own instrument
Your mouth closes
Across the stage I can hear someone else continue to sing
My dedicated attention can not be wavered
I don’t let my peripheral vision expand
My eyes are still locked on yours
Even if your eyes have never met mine
Your mouth spreads again and the music flows out
Your voice is my drug
And addictive drug that I won’t give up
I will never give up the sound of your voice
It changed me from the inside out
Your voice affected my all
My emotions and my physical being
What I was waiting for comes
The useless tears spill form my eyes
Starting as just salt water brimming my eyes
Slowly one tear makes it’s way down my face
The face I know you never will see
The face I know will never be yours
This face shall never be touched by the hands now playing
Those hands aren’t just playing music
Those hand of your play something utterly beautiful
They play my sorrow
They play my happiness
They play my song
The song I will mark as mine
Not “our” song
Because there will never be an “our” in my vocabulary
“Our” is for a couple
Couples are two sided
This relationship is one sided
On one side their is me staring up at your exuberant face
And on one side their is me crying
Crying because you have touched my heart that shall be permanently beat a new way
The tears leak from my face in a completely different way as well
I know what can never be
The complex story shall never exist
Magnetic attraction?
I think not
I am a positive
You are a positive
We shall never meet

This is for someone special. I know he doesn't know who he is. I doubt he shall even ever see this. None the less this is for you.
