Now that you’re gone,
I weep as this cold,
heart-breaking cold,
It eats up my heart.
Now that you’re gone,
Who will weep with me?
Who will share with me?
When that boy asks me out,
Who will be astonished,
surprise all over your face,
as you laugh with me at the
Thought.

Now I can’t tell you,
now you don’t know.
No more sleepovers,
whispered gossip of girls
still up in the dark hours
of the morning.

I poured out my heart,
but you pulled away.
I am begging you now,
Please.
Please don’t do this.
Best friend,
without you,
Who will I be?
Who will I be,
now that you’re gone?
