the love i know

what do you think of
when you think of love
do you think of its grace
how its pure like a dove
love is so delicate
fragile to the touch
such a rare being
not appearing all that much
but when you finally grasp it
let it settle in your heart
feed it time and truth
and it will do its part
whispering to your soul
telling it to soar
taking taking taking
but giving so much more
paving your life and choices
leaving them to fate
when your heart is filled with love
there is no room for hate
