Seven-Elleven
That store at the corner of the intersection,
Only the number 7 illuminated on the sign,
The price of gas read $3.11,
The cracks in the curb had weeds breaking though the concrete barrier to reach the light,
A spilled slurpee on the sidewalk
Ants crawling through it carrying as much of the drink as they could,
You walk in,
You smell the distinctive 7-11 smell,
You notice the half lit up store,
The tiles have black spots,
Stained by age,
The five aisles closely compacted with food and drinks,
100 different types of candy bars,
The slurpee machine with a red light indicating the Mountain Dew isn’t ready,
Straw wrappers dispersed throughout the floor,
The back room filled with crates & a stool with three pegs.
The restroom door with a crooked sign,
Graffiti on the walls,
The whole room seems to be stained yellow,
That store at the corner of the intersection.
