Look Ahead

Things get better day by day,
but at times all I want to do is waste away.
All I want to do is feel the pain
to see the blood red stain.
With one swift motion
I numb all my emotions.
If only there were more happy days,
so I never go back to my miserable ways.
I don't want to continue doing harm.
I no longer want to see the bright red scars down my arm.
I want to live a life, a life that does cause the end of me.
I now want to live.
