Just a little longer…
Sleep will take me.
Its tides will draw me in,
Willingly or not.
Darkness sets sail
And memories become my raft.
As long as I can sleep, I am free.
Free from the depths of uncertainty.
But now I’m drowning.
My only treasure has been taken.
Pillaged and plundered
What was golden is now tarnished.
More precious than jewels:
My sanity.
