Something used to be there but now it’s missing
What’s missing? You wonder
Look closely
My eyes are gone? You say
And you’re surprised?
They’ve been gone for awhile
But you are only realizing this now?
No matter
Why are they gone? You ask
You don’t know?
They couldn’t take the pain and suffering
Too many times did the reservoir break
And they eventually drowned
Drowned because of those people
Drowned in their own sorrow
