America Stands for Freedom
The day goes on; there are demons all around,
From a billboard to a show, or a paper on the ground.
A movie, a commercial, everything for the American dream,
But the “dream” has been perverted, nothing is as it seems.
Once upon a time, this place stood for liberty,
But now it’s a waste-land, where the most corrupt can lead.
Integrated through colors, yet segregated through styles,
We drop atomic bombs when we can’t handle the trials.
Courage, bravery, and everlasting honor,
These were the characteristics of our founding fathers.
Now we are martyred for not wearing the right shoes,
Breathe deep as they march us into the “showers”, me and you.
Stand strong and never fall to their blows,
Just keep walking, and overcome your foes.
They say that we’re a threat because we know what they don’t want us to see,
A coward or a martyr, which one will you be?
