I love to discover new books.
To feel their cool, crisp pages
between my fingers,
Read the words that carry me
to another world,
See their capturing illistrations
and escape between the pages.

I love the colorful words
the beautiful scenes
that flash behind my eyes
as I read yet another page
or another chapter.
I put one down
and start another
wonderfully capturing adventure.

It's the last thing I do
before I fade to sleep,
and as I lie awake
the imprints of the letters
still dance in my mind.
And when I finally close my eyes
and drift into my dreams,
the journey carries on
making up its own ending

Friends and enemies of ink and paper
and colorful words;
They are waiting to be read.
