"No, no, a thousand times no," he said,
his hand shooting to the ceiling like a missile.
"We can work it out," she pleaded.
But the war had already begun.
Explosions across the living room,
dodging,
ducking,
constructing weapons.
"We can't."
He persisted to drop the bomb.

It ended brutally.
Sixty-thousand memories lost.
Four million positive thoughts obliterated.
Nothing left
but fear,
loneliness,
and no peace treaty.

The author's comments:
Too many marriages end in violent actions and hatred. I hope people can sense the terror that comes from divorce.
