seeing myself for the first time

Into the glassed mirror i looked
Those dark brown eyes searching
thinking why am i here?
Those lips of sealed secrets
Wanting to shout out my inner truths
Beneath my collard shirt hid the locket of memories
behind my makeup lies my true self
seeing for someone to be there
Even if its just for a second
Lies, hatred, jealousy rising to break through
though i kept it at it's bottomless pit
Hiding what id hate for anyone to find out
Why be judged? why be humiliated?
that is why when i look into the mirror i see myself for the first time
