The Unstoppable Shot

The whistle blows.
He taps the ball to me.
I sidestep the rushing defender.
I take a step.
Plant foot.
Check.
Kicking food ready.
Check.
Goal in sight.
Check.
And then,
I let it go.
A blast of fury.
Hurdling to the sweetspot.
Keeper had no chance.
Goal.
