There's A Time
Let us go away from here
Away from what we (did) hold dear
Because we will always have the past,
Because it is always over.
Let us swim where eagles fly
Between the land of (did) and die
Because we will always have rules,
Because they are always waiting.
There’s a time when winds don’t blow
A time for grass that will not grow
When constant rhythms cease to flow
But times stay re-arranging.
There’s a time when meaning fades
A time for trading hearts for spades
When evening’s pockets carry blades
But times are never aging.
Let ‘s throw out the paper bag
Of what we (did) and what we had
Because it is of the past
Because it is always over.
