Dangerous Singing
Dangerous singing of gods
Reverberates in pained ears,
Too sweet to listen.
While
Starlit tongues forming words with lips
Slowly yell the shape of “no”
All too bitter to bear.
And try to
Catch the eye of a falling sun
As it winks past the horizon
Almost too beautiful to watch.
Finally you
Grasp the severity of a word which has no name,
It lingers in the wake of a bleeding love,
Far too beaten to live.
