The Hidden Truth
Day after day she feels pain. Her heart Is hurting, overwhelmed with
Feelings she cannot control.
Anger, Jealousy, and sadness run through h er.
She wishes so bad to have what
Everyone else has; someone to love her.
No one Will know how hard it is for her To see what she sees, hear what she hears, or
Know what she knows.
A smile permanently stuck To her face.
She refuses to let anyone see her pain.
Being pitied is not something she wants because with that comes a sign of weakness.
To be loved is something she wants.
She is reminded everyday that she is young, and still she longs for hearts joining.
But the pain she feels prevents her heart from opening up.
So much has gone wrong.
She is afraid she would fail at love too.
She can never open up.
Nobody will know the hurt she feels.
Love is an impossible hurdle for her to overcome
And nobody would understand.
Someday s he may see the light, but for now the light is nowhere to be found.
Love is hard to find, and she knows
Better than anyone.
Always being judged by her peers,
The days get harder for her to handle.
She fights to get up in the morning, and can’t wait to sleep.
Her unconscious thoughts are the only safe sanctuary for her.
She Is surrounded by friends and family who love her, and
For now that must be all she can have.
Love just isn’t in the cards, and that
Is just something that would have to be dealt
With day by day, no matter how much it hurts.
