Favorite Quote:
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one.”- John 10:28-30

Daylight seems to fade faster everyday
The true happiness of life becomes harder to find
Love is like fishing in the ocean; you only catch what can fight the
tumultuous waves
You have to learn that holding on to someone is a
necessity in this trial of life
Loving someone is a painful thing
Losing them is horrendous

So live for the day
Everyone will hurt you eventually
You have to find the ones that are worth the pain
Hold onto those that are worth it,
And Forgive those who aren’t
Cause life is short
We only have the time that God gave us
No matter how long, or how short

Don’t let the diminishing time cause the relationships you cherish
reduce to rubble
Cause when you lose someone, the pain is real
You find your self wishing for something else
For the truth not to be true, for the reality to be fiction

All that can be done is to bond together, become a closer family
Fighting gets you now where, let the love shine through
Remember that we all have to stay strong
We have to live this life in honor of him
Have to thank God for the time we had

Anger may fume, asking why.
Wondering the reasons.
But its more than the circle of life, maybe he wanted to go home for
the holidays and we can always see him in our dreams
His spirit will live on as long as we welcome it

So let’s lean on each other and not let each other fall
Lets love each other, and hold each other up
Family bonds don’t stay strong on their own

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem after my family and I suffered the loss of my grandfather, on the day before Thanksgiving. I did not meet my grandy until I was almost 16. I am now 17. And he was sick most of that one and a half years.I feel like he was taken way to soon, because I dint get a chance to experiance life with him in an "okay" state. Also my family seemed to tear apart and five months later, it is still split in half.
