An Older Marriage
A transformed love of fifty years, my dear
Through pains and hurts that have tested our fears.
My love that has overcome many long season changes
of falling leaves, rainy seasons, sunny days of word exchanges.
Many strange arrangements of deranged situations
of child bearing, life learning, and heart breaking relations.
Our kids have gone, leaving their old lives behind
to begin what we started and make thier lives more refined
I hope and pray that when our lives pass on
that our legacy and our memories will not be far gone.
