Shadow
To him, I am just a shadow,
I’m there, but he doesn’t really notice.
To him, I am just a shadow,
He sees me, but not as I want to be seen.
To me, my life’s a shadow,
It’s there and its fun, but it can always be
Gone in an instant.
Some of my “friends” are shadows,
They’re cool with me, nice to me, but as soon
As something happens, they’re gone.
The only thing in my life that aren’t shadows,
My family and the one I love.
I may be a shadow to him, but he shall never
Be a shadow in my heart.
Love is the thing that brightens up my day.
Never again will I be considered His Shadow.
