Consciousness of Happiness
The light is all i can feel upon my soft skin
as I dance and frolic, lightly on my toes deep in the silky sand
waiting to greet the depression of darkness.
As i glide through the air into an embrace of water and cold bitter chill,
the pit of my stomach becomes filled with butterflies, and nausea,
failing my immediate consciousness of happiness.
Slowly I decline, and fall gently into a crashing wave
pulled under by the moon,
gravitating towards the muddy ocean floor
Engaged in a sense of emptiness, I lift up to the light blue sky
calling to me from above
as I lay in the murky ocean water.
