Love And Forgiveness Lost

As I sit here,
I start to think:
"Will he forgive me?"
But then, a part of me says:
"No, of course not.
Why would he after what you did to him?"
At this thought,
My heart turns to lead
And sinks to the floor.
I know that I've done you wrong -
You know it, too -
So now I think it's impossible
For you to even think of forgiving me.
I don't deserve it;
I don't deserve the love of which you give to me.
I cannot speak my mind
Even when I promised that I would.
And for that terrible mistake,
I cannot be trusted to love.

Maybe you don't LMK, but I am giving it to you none the less! It wouldn't be called 'love' if you deserved it, now would it?
