- What Matters
It's A Love/Hate Relationship.
When I don’t feel good enough for you.
It often leaves me feeling very blue.
How I feel so ugly compared to the other girls,
It seems like you like everyone but me.
I hate how you can either make or break my day.
I know how that sounds so cliché.
The way you clutter my mind,
And the things you do that leave me thoroughly confused.
Or how you make me feel like you don’t care.
It leaves me in a state of despair.
But mostly, I love the way I don’t hate you,
Not even close.
Not even a little bit.
Not even at all.
When we gaze into each other’s eyes,
It’s like watching a million fireflies.
You can make my heart beat faster and
Slower at the same time.
I love the embrace you wrap me in.
It definitely sends my head for a spin.
How just a smile from you,
Can leave me grinning for hours.
I love everything we do,
It makes me very fond of you.
The way your warm touch soothes my chilled hands.
And the way your arm feels around my shoulders.
I love the sound of your laughter,
It’s something I would chase after.
You’re undeniably a cutie in my book,
But it was nowhere near just your looks I fell for.
And the way I run my fingers through your soft hair.
Boy, do you have such a nice attire that you wear.
I feel like I can talk to you about anything,
I’m so thankful you’re my best friend.
Although your true feelings for me lack,
You have a piece of my heart in which I cannot get back
