I drift off
Into the numbness they call shock.
I can feel cold overtake my body.
Part of my heart is cold and still,
The other warm and beating.
My thoughts grow foggy.
I cannot think.
I feel an empty void grow in place of
my heart,
Yet I still breathe,
I still walk.
So tell me now,
Why you cannot.
