"Sun and Ocean"
April 13, 2010
On a merciless Monday morning
I am as cool and calm as the blue ocean.
My thoughts are askew and vast.
My mind is telling me to conserve my energy-
I’m going to need it.
My goal is to stay in a rhythmical pattern.
Towards the end of the week
I am the sun.
I am yellow-
Brilliant, bright, and energetic.
I am ready for the weekend.
Unfortunately when I turn this poem in,
It will be Monday
And I will be a vast blue ocean.
