I'm ignoring
The shouts and the yells.
I'm ignoring
The sound of the baby's wail.
The arguing, the hollering.
I block them all out.
With my thin, cheap plastic paintbrush
I let out all of my frustrations
Scraping the runny, grainy paintbrush

On my page
Water, clouded with colors.
Turquoise.
I'm ignoring them.
Trying to finish my masterpiece
of anger
of venting
Dipping the black bristles
Frantically rubbing it onto the
Dried paint the size of a nickel
The water drips on my page
Running down its length.
I am ignoring them.

The author's comments:
I'm showing how my family can be frustrating, how I vented my anger on my artwork instead of them. The art came out great, venting my anger on it made it creative and full of passion.
