Tuning out the droning voice of the teacher
no one's listening
girls across the room passing notes
and giggling
the guy next to me has been asleep
for at least 20 minutes
some secretly texting God knows who
under their desks
one girl reading "I Am America and So Can You"
not paying attention
one-hunderd and five minutes of hell
why am I here
I could have skipped
feeling the tears well up in my eyes
as one slips down my cheek
fifteen minutes to go
I don't think I can make it
I know they are talking about me
STOP!
the bell rings
I run out the door
Thank God it's Friday
3rd period english no more!
