Alone at the side of the road,
Invisible and unnoticed to those that pass by.
A tiny speck of green in a dull grey sea
Thriving for the sun,
Only to be put down by the pollution clouding its leaves,
As the days drag on,
The vivid and green leaves begin to turn a sickly shade of yellow
Its pure and innocent life is slowly sapped from its branches.
Unnoticed to those that pass by.
Where a tree once stood,
Alone at the side of the road,
A desolate and bleak patch of earth remains.
