Have you ever sat alone?
Your world filled with silence
As the world around you bustles by
Loud and chaotic

Lost in a world of thought
Sitting from the outside looking in
Feeling lost, hopeless
Not knowing,
Where to turn,
Which direction to go.

You’re afraid to fall
Because you know this time
You may not get back up
A lose for life’s pleasures

Heart aching
Reaching out
Tugging on the fabric of life
On the edge of a dream
Such a supreme longing
That has never felt before

Unable to shake it off
Your scared
And your scared to admit it
Your Waiting
Waiting to be rescued
Waiting for your hero
Your night
Your savior
Because you are Unable
to save yourself.
You think,
is this the truth?
Is this the reason I have spent
Many a night awake in bed.

As you move through life,
Watching the laughter as it passes you by.
You hope for change,
Change that may never come,
For before another can help you,
You must be willing,
You must help your self.

Rejecting the chaos around you,
Refusing to accept it as is.
You cause your own pain
Your own suffering.

…Have you ever sat alone?
