My best friend is forever gone.
He is now six feet deep.
His soul must be somewhere good.
"He is no longer in pain."
Is all I thought,
As he was lowered into the ground.
My best friend is forever gone.
He was a good friend.
He was there when I cried.
He could tell something was wrong,
By my breathing.
His love would always help.
My best friend is forever gone...

The author's comments:
My best friend died in the summer of '09. I didn't even get to say good-bye. So this is me telling him good-bye
