Those lips, they whisper to me
Promises of forever
I long to believe their lies
The truth that doesn’t exist
Those lips, they whisper to me
I can see the promises,
For the lies they really are
Truths that try to control me
Those lips, they whisper to me
Promises that strangle me
Their nectar is deceitful
The truth that threatens my soul
Those lips, they whisper to me
I uncovered their meanings
Lies, no matter how lovely
The truth my heart breaks free of
