To Light up the Sky Takes the Help of Just One MAG

I am myself.
One of billions,
a small s.p.e.c.k. of life.
My eyes
tell
a
tale of j-o-u-r-n-e-y.
I walk the road of inspiration
taking my time,
enjoying the small things in life.
Who would know that a
blade of grass could be
so
full
of life.
Billions of stars in the sky.
So bright,
so d i s t a n t,
overlapped with secrets
intended for two,
who lie upon the blades of grass
enjoying small pleasures in life.
Taking a pit-stop in their road of inspiration.
Their tale of j-o-u-r-n-e-y,
flowing in their hearts, not their eyes.
Both one of billions,
their own s.p.e.c.k.s. of life.
Being themselves;
themselves only.
Accepting what life gives to them

The author's comments:
I wrote this as an English assignment for a poetry celebration. At first, the poem was one of those "throw-it-together" things, something that one would do just to get it out of the way. After working with it for a few weeks, I started to really enjoy it. Without being too long, or really giving specific details, it explains how life can be present on anything, such as stars or grass. Everything in the world has life, and people are only a small part of what makes up the world.
