He’s waiting on his deathbed
The end is inevitably soon to come
I hold his old, wrinkled hand
My own are numb in his strong grip
Outside he’s strong
Inside he’s scared
“Why are you scared daddy?
You’re going to the kingdom in the sky!”
“I’m not scared of dying,
But I’m terrified of losing you.”
