Its time. I feel deaths slowly agonizing pain course through my veins. So, I take another drink. The cool soothing sensation exhilarates my life less corpse. I’m alive again but for how long? 10, 15, 20 minutes pass by than as deaths grasp drifts closer, I take another drink. The carbonated beverage clears away dooms touch. But still for how long? Another 25 minutes drift past and death creeps upon me. I go for the drink again…but this time it’s empty. I can no longer fight deaths inevitable doom. So I walk across the street, buy another Monster and the fear of no cooled beverage in my hand slowly fades away. Like me after I read my poem.
