The Discovery
Unconsciously she rolls up her sleeve
She lifts her arm to answer a question
And at that moment she's been discovered
When the teacher lifts her eyes
from the student she's scolding she sees them
So does the rest of the class
She wonders why everyone is staring
then she realizes that her arms are bare
that there is nothing to cover her dark hobby
The teacher questions
Students stare at her like she's a freak
And all she can think to do is deny everything
But how can she deny something that is so clearly written?
Something that's been written all over her body?
Impossible
She knows she can't ask anyone not to say anything
No one would listen
They'd only deny her wish
So the teacher asks to see her in the hall
By now she's on the verge of tears
She knows what happens now
She knows that she can't prevent what's going to happen now
So she takes her chances
She's already been discovered so why hide it anymore?
She tells the truth
She did do those marks on her arms
And now everyone knows
