How do you know?

How do you know,
With family far away,
If someone is struggling,
Or if someone lost their way?
How do you know,
When they are hurting
and are losing their faith,
yet you feel that their is always a way.
How do you know,
When a loved one cries out,
or when they want to tell you
that special news they found out.
How do you know,
If someone has a broken heart?
How can you leave
Without saying goodbye?
It's too hard for me to say
With family far away.
