"See ya later, Herc, it's been a real slice." -Megera from Hercules (my avatar!)

"Someone get these mother f***ing snakes off this mother f***ing plane!" -Samuel L. Jackson in Snakes On a Plane (funniest movie ever)

The window is white behind, the clouds looking like paper
A blank sheet of paper that I cannot fill
I am so tired I could yawn the day away
But there are things to do, places to see
People to visit, projects due tomorrow
I need to get going, but I am so tired

The rain thuds on the window
The drops falling down the pane
Just like the tears that are soon to come
Life is so stressful, life is so sad
Life sucks the energy out of you
Like a leech to the skin, it doesn’t care a bit

The wind howls outside, shaking the window
Like the words that I wish to scream to everyone
The house shakes again, like I wish to shake the world
Stop cutting up the forest, stop putting trash in the lakes
We already have enough things to worry about in this world
You’re all messing up my future, and I can’t deal with it all

The sun glows through my window
A mirror of my feelings today
I don’t care if the world might be dying
I don’t care right now that I’ve made mistakes
All I care about is that I’m happy, laughing
Without a giving a thought to anything else

My window shouts my feelings loud and clear
My window knows how I think
My window can be a sun, the rain,
the wind, or a blank sheet of paper
My window shows me the outside
And shows the outside, me

The author's comments:
Not my best poem, but I just loved how the sky was like white paper and reflected what I felt. The window is metaphorical but also literal, in a way.
