I’ve seen you a few times.
You hide behind your bangs in the lunchroom,
As you stand in line,
Anxious for your own food.
You jump when others bump into you,
While you self consciously twirl the ends of your
Dark brown hair.

Since we have sometimes talked,
I’d like to consider you as a friend.
However, first, there are some things you need to know.
I’m not a very patient person,
And I’m incredibly neat.
If you decide to come over, I keep my books in alphabetical order.
You can’t mess them up.

As a friend,
I’d like to let you know that if you keep twirling your hair,
It’ll fall out. You don’t need to hide
Beneath a fake identity.
Like I said, I’m not very patient,
And it bothers me when people are scared of nothing.
So bite your nails instead.

Also, your clothes are a bit ripe.
It isn’t a bad thing to smell good.
I don’t recommend you do it so people notice you,
But sometimes your friends would like a pleasant smell.
I’m one of those people,
And as a friend,
It might help you feel a little better to let water brush the dirt of your shoulders.

You don’t like it when people address you,
Because you assume it’s in a cynical way.
However, not every person is out to get you.
Keep control over your fantastic imagination until it’s time
To let it out. Reality is for dummies,
But sometimes you have to look at things truthfully.
As a friend, I’ll be the first to defend you when someone really has bad intentions.

As your friend,
I’d like to let you know that I hate when people think they have no one.
Life’s only as bad as you make it.
Also, as a friend, I’d like you to tell me
When I get a bit over bearing and stifling.
I know I’m not patient and a perfectionist,
But don’t let that stop you from giving me the advice I need, but I don’t always want.
