The words I meant to say

The picture writes
my words draw
of words I've never said
of words
words of

love

fear
of things I've been ashamed

But now at last I've lost my fear
now at last the words are here
But now alas my words are late
now alas the words are old

The sun,my sun is setting
setting
setting

setting away

away
away to the waters of death

And now I shall die still

still

spluttering

the

words
I meant to say

Thanks, I think that the way the poem is presented is very important to the poems meaning.
