I saw you crying by the doors after school,
surrounded by your new best friends.
I kept on walking.
You have them now, you dont need me-
even though i feel like they made you so unhappy.
My focus shifts from you to the pavement;
I pretend I didn't see you
or the tears that so quietly streamed down your face
like the soft rain that poured from the sky.
