Insignificant

This course of fear never runs its end
In every beat of a heart
In ever whisper of a breath
Uncertainty
As doubt creeps in
Like dawn brings day
Numerous curses run through her head
This pain, this fear, this hesitation
Pounding in her blood
Runs a fear about herself
Looking in the mirror
She does not see the light
Afraid
Alone
Unimportant
Never a rise to power
Just a foreign name
Unwanted
Conflicted
Strugling to complete herself
But it's a dead end
And you know it's always a dead end
Old yet unused
Left rusting in a corner
Forgotten
Insignificant

This poem is for describing what failure feels like. Despite the efforts, when you can't get what you really want, the feeling just rips you up and leaves you thinking and changing.
