voice of the wind
Leaving with dignity
A hidden power lies beneath your eyes
With each step you take
My breath becomes shorter
I'd like to reach out
Knowing you'll come to me
The days will pass with an eternal bliss
When I call for you in the night
The silence will pass
As my dawn arrives before dusk,
the sun will enwrap my soul
And pull me in with a rush
While your name rests on my lips
A bitter sweet remembrance
Of broken promises and empty lullabies
I'll watch from my throne sitting above
The steps you wake will limp
Never knowing what was with you
But as I reminisce my fate
Your name is but a memory
And your call is just a voice in the wind
