Loneliness

April 8, 2010
By Anonymous

When they look at me
They express hapiness
But even I can see it in their eyes
I am the back-up friend
The lazy child
The one with the perfect family
They wish they had my life
I wish they knew how lucky they were
Having a perfect life isn't as great as it seems
I get the exact perfect amount of punishment
The best grades
The loving parents
The caring sweet brother
The over protective dad
But I'm alone, no one notices the girl in the backround
Dreaming about the love of her life
I might be content
If he saw how much
I loved him
If he saw how much I cared
No one sees
The girl that sits off to the side
When all her friends are playing at the park
Will I always be alone?
Will he ever love me?
Will this loneliness
And aching
Inside my heart
Ever go away?

This is my first poem that I have ever shown anyone except my closest friends.
