If Forever Had To End

If forever had to end,
We would chase the sun and catch it in a bottle,
Hold our breath so time would never go by.
We would race to the heavens and circle the stars,
Just to make our forever last.
If forever had to end,
We would make our own hearts,
So they would never stop beating.
If forever had to end,
We could say everything we wanted to say,
Promises would shatter, and hearts be empty.
But because of you, forever knows no end.
So don’t worry if forever had to end.
