Favorite Quote:
I have lived eighty years of life and know nothing for it, but to be resigned and tell myself that flies are born to be devoured by spiders and man by his sorrows--Voltaire

Everything is black and white
Even the sun shines grey
I need some changes in my life
The colors of the new day

Why are you so colorful
When the sun falls down past dusk
When the moon shows off
It's resplendent nighttime sheen

Why do you stand
And take my hand
Reflecting the reflected rays
In your effortlessly steady gaze

If the world is black and white
Then you are the grey
And color has no place
In my hue-less worlds

Very thoughtful, Kathryn, with beautiful words to express your feelings.  You are obviously a sharp observer of both nature and life.

Kathryn, well constructed poem. Enjoy the feelings associated with the colors and nature. You should submit more of your poems. I like this one but you have many that I think are even better.
